What is Enter Charge?

mfIQ uses a battery icon to illustrate your “Charge”, meaning how you are feeling on a particular day. There are five Charge levels from Energized (the highest) to Empty (the lowest). Try to enter your Charge daily or  whenever the battery icon on the “My Habit Manager” screen is pulsing. Tap on the “Charge” button to enter your Charge. Once you’ve entered it, you will see a more detailed screen with your average Charge, from 1 (low) to 5 (high) as well as previous Charge entries for the month.

How do I know which MicroSkill to pick?

You can work on up to 3 MicroSkills at a time. Your first MicroSkill will be selected for you when you onboard the app. After that, select MicroSkills that are of most interest to you (e.g. those where you think you could learn a thing or two). If you’ve completed a Self-Assessment, consider using your scores to help inform your choice - e.g. select a dimension with a lower score. When selecting, you can filter the MicroSkills by Dimension or by completion status. You can select from multiple Dimensions or from the same Dimension, it’s up to you.

How can I see my progress and which MicroSkills I've worked on?

After you complete all 5 Practice Activities for a MicroSkill you will be prompted to either declare it a habit or keep practicing. To view MicroSkills that you have declared habits, tap on the "My Dimensions" icon and filter by "Habit". To view MicroSkills that you have completed or are working on now, tap on the "Explore" icon. You will see the Dimensions, each with a status bar that is yellow (MicroSkills that are incomplete), green (MicroSkills are complete or in process) or a combination of both. Tap on the Dimension to see its list of MicroSkills. Those that you have completed or are working on now will be bolded. Completed MicroSkills stay active - e.g. to re-watch the video or read and/or listen to the MicroSkill article.

Can I redo a MicroSkill?

Yes. You can always decide to redo a MicroSkill, even if you’ve declared it a habit. Remember that the app allows you to do up to 3 MicroSkills at a time. From “My Habit Manager”, tap on “Add MicroSkill”, which will take you to the “My Dimensions” tab and a list of all  the MicroSkills. You can filter by Dimension or Status (i.e. Habit or Incomplete). Tap on the “Add” button to select the MicroSkill you want. If you have declared a MicroSkill a habit, the button prompt will be to Redo the MicroSkill.

Can I replay a MicroSkill Video? How do I this?

Yes. Once you have watched a MicroSkill video, it can be replayed at any time. For MicroSkills you are working on, go to “My Habit Manager” and tap on the circular arrow on the MicroSkill tile to watch the video again. For completed MicroSkills, tap on the “My Dimensions” icon in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. MicroSkills available for replay will have a Play icon on the MicroSkill tile illustration. You can also listen to or re-read the article for that MicroSkill.

What are Practice Activities?

Each MicroSkill includes 5 Practice Activities to help you learn and practice the concepts and develop healthy habits. The app allows you to do one Practice Activity per day per MicroSkill. Practice Activities are released one at a time and have to be completed in order. For example, as soon as you have watched the MicroSkill video, the first Practice Activity will be available to you. The day after you have completed it, the second Practice Activity will be available, and so on. You’ll know an activity is ready to be worked on when you see the “Practice Now” button pulsing. You can re-do Practice Activities as many times as you like. Once you have completed all 5, you will be prompted to declare the MicroSkill a habit OR keep practicing, in which case you will be taken back to re-do the MicroSkill, starting with the video.

Why can't I open a Practice Activity?

Each MicroSkill has 5 Practice Activities. The app allows you to do one Practice Activity per day for that MicroSkill, and they must be completed in order. The first Practice Activity will be available to do right after you watch the MicroSkill Video. Then, on the day after you complete a Practice Activity, mfIQ will release the next one for you to work on. You’ll know an activity is ready when you see the “Practice Now” button pulsing.

What is my mfIQ Score?

Periodically, you will be asked to complete an anonymous self-assessment, a short 20 question survey. Your mfIQ Score is calculated based on your completed self-assessment. You’ll know it’s time to do the assessment when the “mfIQ Score” icon on the “My Habit Manager” screen is pulsing. If you’ve completed at least 2 assessments, the details can be seen by tapping on the “mfIQ Score” icon. The filter function lets you see how your Dimension scores are contributing to your overall mfIQ score. You can use your scores to guide you when the time comes to pick your next MicroSkill. For example, you may want to pick a MicroSkill from a Dimension where you have the lowest score.

What does it mean if something is pulsing?

Whenever something is pulsing, it means you have something to do. For example, if the battery icon is pulsing, you should tap on it and enter your battery charge. If the “Practice Now” button is pulsing, you should tap on it to complete the next available Practice Activity. If the “mfIQ Score” button is pulsing, there is a short self-assessment for you to complete.

Why is the mfIQ Score icon pulsing?

Every time you complete 3 MicroSkills, the “mfiQ Score” button at the top of the screen will pulse, prompting you to complete a Self Assessment of 20 questions. No one can see your answers. After you complete it, you will see an overall Score as well as a Score for each dimension. You can use this to guide your MicroSkill selection - e.g. you may want to select a MicroSkill where your score is lower. Tap on the “Score” button to see all of your results. Self assessment data for your organization is periodically aggregated and available to your employer to help bring visibility to how the workforce is doing.

What is a Journey?

What do the icons on the menu bar at the bottom of my screen mean?

There are 4 icons that appear at the bottom of your screen. The leftmost icon (a person reaching for the stars) is the “My Habit Manager” icon. This is your main dashboard including the MicroSkills you are working on. Next is the “My Dimensions” icon where you can view and filter the MicroSkills (e.g. to see which ones are incomplete). Next (a compass icon) is “Explore”, where you can see the MicroSkills you have worked on and access more in-depth articles and information on the MicroSkills you have watched. Finally, the icon in the bottom right is the “Account” icon, where you can enter information about yourself, set preferences, send feedback and access Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). The Account page is also where you can logout of the system.

What is the Explore Icon for?

“Explore” is the compass icon on the menu bar at the bottom of your screen. It allows you to see the MicroSkills you have completed or are working on. Access “Explore” by tapping on the icon and then tapping on a Dimension (e.g. My Body) to see a list of the MicroSkills. If the text is dark, it means you’ve watched the MicroSkill video and can watch it again and/or access the associated article. If the text is grayed-out, you have not yet started that MicroSkill.

Where can I go for more information?

Each MicroSkill includes a video, an in-depth article and 5 Practice Activities that help you learn and make that MicroSkill a habit. Some of the Practice Activities include links to additional information. Once you have started a MicroSkill and have watched the video, you will be able to access the article, to read or listen to, from “My Habit Manager” and by tapping on the document icon on the MicroSkill tile. Note that you can also access additional resources on the mfIQ website.
